Design With Ease
At Folk + Lore Living we view interior design as an investment not only in your home but in your own wellness. Our process lends itself to a holistic approach and the initial step of identification is used as a guide for the rest of our design. Having a clear and streamlined process is a huge part of how we achieve that. In order to best serve our clients we offer five distinct phases starting with The Consultation. Phase One: Well Hello!
The first phase is all about getting to know you. Once we've had our Discovery Call with new potential clients a 90 min in-person or virtual consultation to tour your space will be scheduled. This is an opportunity for April to offer any ideas, suggestions, and get to know the scope of your project as well as answer any questions you may have. Once our initial proposal is approved, contracts are signed, retainer is paid, and client homework is complete, we are able to move onto the design phase
Phase Two: Concept + Design
We develop a design concept which includes architectural finishes and colour schemes for furniture, furnishings, millwork, etc. Our team will prepare mood boards, floor plans, rendering and/or sketches as required by the project and design package selected. We will prepare a detailed presentation including samples for you to review and give your feedback.
Phase Three: Making It Happen
When the design of your home is finalized, we move on to sourcing all the textiles, fixtures, furnishings, and any other design elements that have been selected. We manage all of the procurement of these items from start to finish during this phase. An extensive network of resources and partnerships allow us to deliver outstanding, hands-on service, and creative solutions that bring the all of the elements together.
Phase Four: Installation
This is the phase when your home finally begins to come to life! Your project is nearing completion installation of furnishings and artwork. We will curate every detail, placing each piece with purpose, and help you make aesthetic selections in anticipation of your final reveal day.
Phase Five: The Reveal
Now for the most exciting part! During this step, we do any remaining installations and style the whole space to put those finishing touches that make all the difference. After we remedy any outstanding issues, we close out the project with a final budget meeting. Every project finishes with a fantastic TV-like REVEAL!
