How We Tell Your Story

Folk + Lore Living is a full-service interior design studio based in Los Angeles that specializes in wellness-based residential design, founded by Designer April Glover. We create nurturing environments by combining the beauty of design and nature. Our belief is that your home should be a personal expression of your unique story, representing your connection to the world all while enriching your wellbeing. We approach each project thoughtfully, intentionally, and with a fresh perspective. After all, no two clients’ stories are exactly the same.

April brings two decades of design and home renovation experience along with her signature design aesthetic of combining new elements with heirloom pieces whilst maintaining and enhancing the original character of the home. Though it is not enough to create a beautiful space if the space lack’s function and thought to how the home makes those who reside in it feel. Rather than designing for a spaces form and function alone. April takes a holistic interior design approach by considering and curating a home for the whole person as well as others who dwell in the home. She encourages clients to experiment with their own tastes instead of looking at current trends and styles that will soon fade. Our homes impact our emotional and physical wellbeing, both vital to our overall mental health. We strive to tailor creative solutions to the function as well as the design of our clients’ homes based on their lifestyle while implementing sustainable practices whenever possible. This approach creates a more effortlessly authentic design that is tailored to each client and their home.

Our goal is to cultivate lasting relationships with our clients and continue to work with them as their lifestyle and stories evolve. No matter where you are in your design journey we're here to help. Let us take the stress out of the design process and curate the home you’ve been dreaming of.  Just click the “Get In Touch” button below, we would love to hear from you.
